Due Diligence FAQs (Is This Legit?)

If you're reading this page, you're most likely wondering if our company (Digital Prosperity) and its founder and CEO (James Francis) are legit, or are trying to scam you out of your hard-earned money. Hey, just telling it like it is.

So to put your mind at ease, on this page, we've compiled a few things our students have found about us during their pre-enrollment due diligence, along with the legally-verifiable truth behind those findings.

Let's begin...

1) "According to UK Companies House, your company stopped trading in March 2021."

Growing up in the UK, I first started my online venture in 2008 as a sole proprietor while in college. As the business grew, I dropped out of college to focus on my business full time, and eventually started Digital Prosperity Ltd, a UK company, in 2013.

However, as I got older, I soon became dissatisfied living in London (mainly due to the weather!). On a short vacation to Mexico in 2018, I met my soon-to-be wife Mischell. Eventually we moved in together in Mexico City, and lived there for 4 years.

During this time, I realized it didn't make sense to have my company incorporated in the UK when I was no longer living there. It was a logistical nightmare. At the same time, my wife and I were also exploring ways to live in California, USA.

In our research to make this dream a reality, we discovered the E-2 Treaty Investors residency visa, which requires one to run a profitable US-based business. At the recommendation of my immigration attorney - and to be eligible for our US residency visa - we closed the UK company, Digital Prosperity Ltd, and replaced it with a US company, Digital Prosperity LLC, in March 2020. Note the different extensions (Ltd and LLC), relative to the country they are incorporated in. As a part of this process, we also transferred all our assets to our new company, and our new country of residence, accordingly.

Since then, we have been running a US-based company, Digital Prosperity LLC, entity (file) number 202006210353. Our active and compliant trading status can be verified on the government California Secretary Of State database by searching for this entity number here.

2) "Are you a part of "Digital Prosperity Movement?"

Unfortunately, another company thought it would be a great idea to steal our name and put "Movement" on the end.

While we would usually let this pass out of good will, this company in particular has been scamming people out of their hard-earned money for years now by selling some kind of water-based MLM, which leads to people thinking we are related to their wrongdoings. This is incorrect.

In addition, some of their affiliates have also created review blog posts using screenshots of our website, my branding, and more, stating we sell MLM-style products, charge "maintenance fees", and more. This is also incorrect.

To clarify, James Francis and Digital Prosperity LLC have zero connection with "Digital Prosperity Movement" and their affiliates. In fact, we actively tell our students to avoid MLMs, network marketing, and all similar business models for several reasons, and we would never be a part of one. We would rather put spoons in our eyes.

James Francis also does not own, run, or have any connections with any other businesses apart from Digital Prosperity LLC.

However, it doesn't stop there...

After our audience started confusing our business for theirs, we have begun legal proceedings to seek damages. While the case is in its early stages, we are confident in saving more people from falling victim to them leveraging our 16-year-long good reputation for their bad practices.

3) "Where are your testimonials and student results?"

You can find a small selection of the life-changing results we've been getting for our students over the years here.

4) "Where can I ask other questions?"

As our business would not have lasted 16+ years without our good reputation, we are an open book and have nothing to hide.
