What To Do FIRST To Make Your First $10,000 Online

One of the biggest problems that my customers tell me about every day is that there is so much information out there, and they’re totally overwhelmed by it all.

And usually, they’re too busy juggling several different projects at once and spreading their efforts too thin to get any kind of traction.

So if you’re currently struggling to make your first $10,000 online, here are the ONLY things you need to do to get there with affiliate marketing – in this order…

1) Decide on ONE niche and stick to it

You won’t get very far if you’re targeting more than one niche at the beginning. In fact, the only time you should branch out into other niches is when you’re making more than $100,000 per year (as by that stage, you’ll have a better understanding of how everything works).

So stick to just one niche which you’re passionate about or want to become an expert in, in the health, wealth or relationships industries (as these are the most profitable).

This means you can concentrate all your efforts onto just one thing instead of several, making it easier to get results and improve them over time.

2) Set up your ONE domain name, hosting account and AWeber account

Again, you only need one domain name, hosting account and AWeber account. Your domain name should contain your first and last name (e.g. digitalprosperity.com), as this gives you the “celebrity” status your audience is looking for.

Always go for “.com”, but if that’s taken, you can also try “.org” and “.net”. Don’t use any others, as they don’t look as professional and aren’t as rememberable.

3) Choose one profitable offer to promote in your niche

Just head over to the Clickbank.com marketplace and find one offer in your niche with a “gravity” statistic of 30 or more. It doesn’t matter which one you pick – just pick one, as you can always change it later if necessary.

4) Create your squeeze page for it

Use something like Ten Minute Pages or LeadRocket to create a very simple squeeze page, emphasising the benefits of your chosen offer to the visitor.

For example…

Alternatively, there are some good free squeeze page templates out there if you look hard enough – but keep in mind they will require some HTML knowledge. So if you’re not that tech savvy, try to stick to a “drag and drop” software like the ones I recommend above.

5) Write 3-5 follow-up emails for your main offer

Inside AWeber, simply start building up your follow-up sequence. Be sure to offer a mix of great free content, and soft sells and hard sells for your chosen main offer.

Always write in your own style and show your personality, as this is what will keep your audience hooked on reading your emails and checking out what you recommend to them.

6) Get traffic to your squeeze page

There are plenty of ways to do this, and I’ve gone over many of them on this blog.

Just be sure to focus on quality over quantity, and remember there’s no such thing as “free” traffic – as you either pay in time (often several weeks) or money.

I always prefer paid traffic, as it allows me to get results instantly, instead of waiting several weeks (or even months) to see results from “free” traffic.

7) Keep in regular contact with your new subscribers

If you don’t communicate with the new subscribers joining your list for longer than 3-4 days, they’re going to forget who you are and become unresponsive to your future emails.

So be sure to contact them every 1-2 days with new free content, offers and relationship-building emails.

This ensures you not only gain their trust, but also make sales from helping them solve their biggest problems.

… That’s it!

That’s all it takes to make your first $10,000 online.

Build the system once, then just add traffic and perfect your sales funnel.

So now you know the steps, what are you waiting for? Disregard every other distraction and get started 🙂

Have a great weekend!
