Valuable Lessons From My First Live Event

Last weekend (May 17th and 19th), I attended my very first Internet Marketing live event in London – “Marketing With Alex Live”.

Many people there couldn’t believe this was my first event, as apparently it’s pretty common – but I guess I took the “work from home” thing a little too literally over the years!

It was great being recognised and giving as much value to people as possible, but I learned some valuable lessons which I’ll be sharing with you in this tutorial…

Firstly, although it’s pretty obvious, a seminar environment is a complete “no BS” zone.

Very few people there are focused on selling you their products or systems, as the main focus is to help each other.

(Plus, there’s less anonymity than being behind a computer screen, which definitely helps to bring people’s “better sides” out)

When you attend a live event, you learn what’s actually working for people right now – giving you massive clarity and confirmation you’re on the right path.

So if you’re tired of the BS strategies and systems floating around the internet right now, attend a live event and you’ll be pleasantly surprised with what you’ll learn from people.

Secondly, and what I believe to be the most important thing I learned about live events, is that they’re AWESOME for networking with like-minded entrepreneurs.

Sure – communicating via email or Skype is great, and you can form some solid relationships there – but you can never get anywhere near to the close connections you create from a seminar environment.

You can talk freely without having to wait for them to get back to you, you can express body language and humor a lot better, and generally get to be yourself a lot more (which is essential for building relationships with people).

In fact, I connected with more great, influential people in just one night at the bar than I have in over a year via email.

That’s the power of networking at seminars right there!

Lastly, there are many other reasons you should attend a seminar if you haven’t already, but the other huge breakthrough I had was that seminars give massive motivation from all the case studies and success stories.

There are people all around you at all different stages of their online businesses – from complete beginners to people making $600,000 per month (that’s no typo, and I was as shocked as you to hear it!), and there’s something pretty uplifting about hearing other people’s success stories.

In my case, it’s how I can apply their stories to speed up my coaching students’ progress, and get myself to the $100k per month mark ASAP!

It was definitely an experience I’ll never forget, and I’d strongly recommend attending a seminar in the future if you haven’t already.
