How I Record My Videos (Behind The Scenes!)

After recording a brand new video series, I thought it'd be a great idea to show you a "behind the scenes" explanation of how I record our face-to-camera videos.

You'll see the equipment we use, how to record audio with good quality (even in a room with an echo), how to position the lighting, and everything in-between.

So here it is...

Equipment list:

  • Microphone - Sennheiser MKE600
  • Cable from microphone to camera - standard XLR cable, attached on one end to a Sennheiser KA 600 Short Coiled 3.5mm and XLR cable
  • Camera - Canon 70D
  • Lights - A package similar to this one (same items, just a different company in the UK version of Amazon). I usually have the material over the lights to create a softer light, but I needed the full brightness of the bulbs at the time of recording this video due to the darker room.
  • Microphone stand - Tiger MCA7-BK Boom Microphone Stand (but anything similar will be fine)

You've come a long way from the first video. Thank you for the information on video production and the equipment list. I'm just getting started with your 'Done for You' service so I believe I have some time. Focusing on other stuff first. Once again thank you. Oh and you are still a bit skinny. 😉
