Give Yourself A Pat On The Back

When starting an online business, there is a HUGE learning curve (as you’ve probably experienced!), as there’s so much to learn.

As with any new hobby, job, or general activity – if you’ve never done it before, you need to spend time understanding the basics.

Suddenly you need to go from knowing absolutely nothing about Internet Marketing, all the way to being able to create a squeeze page, build your email list with opt-in subscribers, creating a blog, creating a product, promoting products as an affiliate…

… the list is endless!

And I know you may often feel that you are getting nowhere fast, especially if you are trying to fit all this around other commitments.

However – you are learning new skills (which will stay with you forever), and you are making small but important achievements in growing your business.

So each time you successfully put into practice what you have learnt, no matter how small it is, give yourself a pat on the back.

Give yourself a little treat and celebrate one more step on the path to your success.

Psychologically, we interpret this as…

If I do some work = Then I get a reward

Every time you do this, not only will it lower your stress levels and ease your frustration, but it’ll also make you more productive, as you’ll constantly have something to strive towards.

And the reward doesn’t even have to be anything fancy!

It could always just be treating your family to a night out at the movies, spending time with your family, or even just eating your favorite food!

We’re too used to people telling us what we can’t do (and who are ‘they’ to know what’s possible?) – but if you break that barrier and take action, you’ll find that you CAN do anything you put your mind to.

If you constantly reward yourself for your successes, sooner or later you’ll find them happening a lot more often.
