Have you ever watched very young children in their play, interaction with others and when learning?
They appear to have no fear in whatever they do.
In fact, we are born with only two natural fears: the fear of falling and the fear of loud noises.
All others are created by our experiences and environment – including our parents’ warnings of the consequences of our actions when we are young.
For example, you can notice the latter in babies – a sudden loud noise will set them off crying.
Whereas an adult may have developed a fear of spiders, clowns, ridicule, or in our case – or more specifically, in most beginner entrepreneurs’ cases – failure.
So if these fears are created, why can’t they be completely destroyed?
Now here’s where this becomes about YOU…
In business terms, what fears are holding you back from your success?
Fear of looking foolish if you get something wrong?
Share your fear in a specific way (even below in the comments section!). You’ll be surprised how many people will offer support, help and advice.
Just take action on what you’re afraid of, and you’ll see it’s not actually that bad after all.
And even if you DO get something wrong…
Nobody will ridicule you, nobody will hate you, nobody will plaster your name across the Internet.
Just get out there and see for yourself!
Fear of failure?
You’ll always fail, and it’s completely fine to do so.
I fail every single day in my business (more than my successes), and make a ton of mistakes.
But because I’m always taking action, I learn from my failures and use them to influence my actions in the future.
In fact, this reminds me of a great quote…
“Every failure brings with it the seed of an equivalent success.” – Napoleon Hill
So take action, make mistakes (it’s ok, you have my permission!), and learn from them for the future.
You’ll then have a better picture of what works and what doesn’t, which you can use to your advantage.
Fear of upsetting people?
No matter how perfect we think we are (or how much we strive to achieve perfection), we can never please everyone.
For example, one of the highest spam complaint rates I’ve ever had on my email broadcasts was from sending a 2-hour+ long, high-quality, 100% free video course with no strings attached.
I tried my absolute best to genuinely help people, and more people than usual got totally annoyed by it.
So again, you can’t please everyone – so don’t worry if you don’t.
Just strive for perfection as much as you can, as that’s all that matters.
To conclude, fear is of our own making and is an attitude of mind.
If you can create that fear, you can destroy it too.
Some people say that “Fear is only – False Emotion Appearing Real”.
So instead of being paralyzed by something which is completely untrue, face your fear and take action.
Because when you remove all fear in your life, you’re unstoppable.
