Happy New Year! 😀
It’s that time again when we set ourselves goals for the year ahead – most of which are usually forgotten about by the time February arrives.
Actually, let this be your first important takeaway from this blog post… When setting goals, don’t just do it for the sake of having a new year’s resolution, because when the new year celebration period is over, your willpower will usually be gone too.
Instead, think long-term, i.e. I’m setting this goal to be reached across the entire year and forever after, and I’ll do my best to stick to it rigidly – because I really want to make a change in my life, not just because I feel I should do.
That’s how I achieve new things every month of the year, because I follow this critical rule of continuous improvement.
Anyway – I digress. On to the point of this post…
Accountability is a wonderful thing. (Don’t worry – it’s nothing to do with numbers or finances!)
If you’re unsure, accountability is when you feel expected by someone else to follow through on your promises.
You become accountable to your boss when he or she gives you an important task to do.
You become accountable to your loved one(s) every time you make a promise to them.
In business, it’s the best way I know to achieve your goals every single time.
After all, if you’re not accountable to anyone, then excuses (including “I’ll start tomorrow”, week after week) will usually de-rail your entire goal – meaning you achieve nothing.
So here’s what we’re going to do…
I want you to make 2013 the year where you achieve your goals and get to where you want to be in life.
So I’d like you to post your own New Year’s Resolutions for your online business in the comments section below.
I’ll check in with everyone who comments at the end of the first quarter of 2013 (April 1st) to check how your progress is going.
That way, you’re holding yourself accountable to myself and the other members on this blog, and you’ll feel an obligation to follow through on your goals.
There are no right or wrong goals (unless they’re illegal or something!), so feel free to post whatever is most important to you and your business.
To start, here are my goals for 2013…
- Get my Online Income Masterclass sales page converting at above $1 EPC for 80% of affiliates.
- Build my email list to be able to send at least 1,000 clicks per day.
- Rank first in Google for a competitive search term (exact term hidden for privacy).
- Create high-quality valuable webinar for my one-on-one coaching program & get the offer converting above $3 EPC.
- Double my income from 2012.
Now it’s your turn…
Post your own New Year’s Resolutions for your online business in the comments section below (the more specific, the better), and I’ll check in with you on April 1st. Plus, I’ll update you with my progress to keep it fair.
Again, this is the best way to achieve your goals. Let’s make this year different.
Looking forward to helping you reach them 🙂
